Due to the constant comings and goings, Hamburg developed into a leading city of trade and culture. Between the large ships and barges, small wooden boats bob in the still waters. Their bodies are characterised by timbers of many tones and ingenious craftsmanship. Their interiors are contained worlds of leisure—places to escape the hustle and bustle of city life.

Our store can be read as an intermediary space between the seclusion of a boat and the social nature of the city—a place for seafarers and skin care afficionados alike. The design language echoes that of boat construction: an abstracted hull of curved timber ribs envelops visitors, while horizontal planks in walnut and maple support our wide array of products for the skin, hair, body and home. Underfoot, a parquet of end-grain oak provides a durable surface for the toing and froing of adventurous feet.
